Avast is blocking Thunderbird updates

Have you tried the solution here?  It works for me but isn't ideal since the problem is with Avast itself.

You just add as exceptions in Avast: 'aus.thunderbird.net' and also 'www.thunderbird.net'

Yes, that's exactly what I've done.  I'm with you though... I'd like to see the actual issue addressed.

Seems either (1) adding Thunderbird update server exclusions to Avast or (2) disabling QUIC/HTTP3 scanning in Web Shield solves the issue, however (2) does not work for me.

Avast staff, any progress on this?  It was supposed to be fixed in the last beta but I can confirm after the latest update the issue still exists.
