Version: Avast Premium Security 22.7.6025(build 22.7.7403.741)

Hello!

Today I encountered a major problem with Avast. I noticed that one of Avast's premium firewall features, "Port scan alerts", was not working.

Steps to create the problem:

1) I connected my computer and Android Mobile Phone to the same Wifi network.

2) I installed the "Fing" app on my Android Cell Phone.

3) I scanned the network with the Fing app. After scanning the network, I found my device in the device list and did a port scan.

4) Avast did not react to this situation.

  • The wifi network is in trusted networks list in Avast.
  • The SecureLine VPN is off on both of devices (both Pc and Android phone).

As a temporary solution, I have now marked the network as "Untrusted Network", so nothing shows up in any port scan.

Seems like the issue is fixed now. I think closing/reopening all the protection modules fixed the issue.

EDIT: Sometimes it is working, sometimes it does not pop the warning but the ports are still remain inaccessible when you dont trust a network so I don't think it is a huge problem.
