Avast One - invalid email certificate in Outlook 365
« on: August 26, 2022, 12:07:35 PM »
I keep getting the following error message when I launch Outlook 365 on my PC

"The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified.

A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file"

If if select "Yes" to "Do you want to continue using this server?" it connects and downloads the emails - otherwise nothing happens.

When I view the certificate it says that it was issued by AvastWeb/Mail Shield Root, with a validity from 16/05/2022 to 14/08/2022 - but I can find no options to update this within Avast One

HELP!!!

Hi,

Can you attach a screenshot of the error message, please? https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Create-screenshot

Also, go to the folder C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\ (the ProgramData folder is hidden), double click on the file with the name wscert.der and see what that expiration date is.
