I am having a problem updating my virus database and updating my Program. Please email me in reply. Here is the error message that I am getting. I am currently using Cable modem broadband for a connection.

Where is the error message?
Have you tried to restart machine and than tried again?

I get the error message after it tries about 5 times to connect to the server. It then times out with this message. I have restarted my computer many times, but to no avail. Anything else I might try?

Make sure its getting thru your firewall if you have one installed.

Thank you. It helped that I actually read the last line of the error message. Make sure your firewall software allows full access to the file "avast*.setup"
