Small Office Networking
« on: December 18, 2007, 07:29:47 PM »
Hey guys, maybe you can help me with this one. Im trying to set up a small office network for a small business. I have a router connecting the two pcs for interet access on both, but the time has come to network for file sharing and printer sharing. Ive started setting it up but the part im stuck at is this

when i click "create a network setup disk" it says "please insert a disk into drive E" But as far as i can tell my pc has no drive E. I have one dvd-r drive and no floppy and 2 usb ports on the front that are drives G and F. Of the ports in the back, one usb is open but when i stick my zip drive into it it comes up as drive G as well.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

Hi Trippz1201,

You don't have to use the wizards:

Sorry, I wasn't thinking there: those instructions were for a crossover connection, but the advice about not having to use the wizards still applies, and most of the other advice I think, but with a router you can just let DHCP takr care of the IP addresses I think. (Obtain an IP address automatically.)
