Freemake false positive detection
« on: September 16, 2022, 12:07:44 PM »
Avast and AVG put Freemake software into quarantine for no reason. We, Freemake team, called your US/UK office to speed up the solution to the matter - no result.

The issue is serious. It affects millions of our current users.

Our tech support team are overloaded with Freemake users who have used Freemake for SEVERAL years! We count hundreds already…

We hope you can sort this out quickly!

Can anybody from the team here look into the issue and comment?

Wait for a reaction from avast team as they are the only ones to come and unblock.
So report as an FP to avast's.

Mind that DrWeb also qualifies freemake dot com as a "not recommended site":

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
