BANK MODE DOESN'T WORK BECAUSE OF THE LATEST PREMIUM SECURITY UPDATE.
none of the alternative options to open bank mode offered by support work.
My Temporary Fix for Bank Mode:
The only way I found to keep bank mode, (because this new update has affected the bank mode), working was:
1. I did a system restore to before the new avast premium security update.
2. once the restore completed  successfuly, I Opened the avast Premium security app, went to settings and set the program update to "I will update manually"
    This allows me to stop an automatic update to this glitched new update.
So far Bank mode stays working for me.
 So, I'll wait for avast to fix this issue that's been going for the last 10 days or so.

Rumour has it setting the Avast Browser to default fixes Bank Mode. Yes really.

When I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser the first time it automatically set it to default; so I changed back to my firefox as default. However, then everytime I went to click on my Outlook 2010 email hyperlink I kept getting the; ...."This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." message.... The browser changed my system profile.
So, that's why I had to go to the system restore option.

I choose my default apps, not Avast thank you.

And, since I've stopped the auto update of the Premium security app, the Bank mode is still working.

Hi,
we just released the fix for the Bank Mode issue and it's being distributed as an independent update.
To install the update, open your Antivirus, go Settings - General - Update, click on “Check for updates” button under the Antivirus version and restart your computer.
Sorry for inconvenience caused!

I don't know if the manual update check would also update beyond your fall back version.  Though in theory a manual program update should give the latest version, like if I did a manual program update I would go from 22.10 to 22.12.xxxx and also apply the fix.

Hi,
Thanks for your update.
I did a manual update, and the switched to auto updates.
So far so good; however, I'm not sure I have received the current app update.
The version its on is the Nov 9 version and build....(please see attached).

I created a restore point just before doing so, just in case.
