many websites are not accessed after this new version of Avast. Simply blocking them. hi5.com, tagged.com and such other websites. When I disable https scan, it works perfectly. Please look into that. This happens using Opera browser for pc. I have Win 10, Avast Free latest versions. There is no issues in Firefox latest version.

Hi,

Can you please attach a screenshot of the website error? Can you also provide a support file, please? https://support.avast.com/article/create-screenshot/#pc

I am having the same issue trying to access Bank of America and Wells Fargo. I have Windows 7 and using Google Chrome as the browser. When the Enable HTTPS Scanning is checked I get an error saying the website is unsecure and can't access it. There was a comment in the error message about too many redirects. When I uncheck the Enable HTTPS Scanning everything works fine.

I would suggest following the request by r@vast to attach a screenshot of the avast alert or error.

You don't say what Avast program/s and version and build numbers ?

What happens if you try a different browser (if you have an alternative option) ?

The Avast version is 22.9.6034 build 22.9.7554.750. I will also get a screenshot and attach. Chrome is the only browser I use as Internet Explorer gave me more issues since it is not supported anymore (I know Windows 7 isn't either but I share this machine with my elderly father and don't want to change too much for him since he has a hard time with technology anyway).

A new Avast Update should now be available if you check, 22.10.6038 (as in my signature below posts).  That said, I'm not sure if this would have included a fix (for your issue) in the 'Bug fixes Minor fixes to optimize your protection.'

Upgrading to the latest version fixed the issue. I just want to mention I've experienced two issues (one with the browser and one with email) caused by released upgrades to Avast that were fixed with another upgrade within the last two months.

Thank you for your support.
