Hi,

Did you scan any files prior to opening Avast Free? Was this a once-off message?

I did scan a png I'd downloaded, and it happened several times, enough to prompt me to run the avast repair function.

I got the same text twice after, but it has not reoccurred, I found the entire thing unusual.

can you please check Scan history? Can you see Explorer scans corresponding to the progress you saw? Scan history: Open UI, go to Protection, Virus Scans, Scan History

Thank you
Petr
