LATELY AVAST HAS BEEN ASKING FOR USERS TO RESTART THERE WORKSTATIONS
WHAT SETTINGS OR CONFIGURATIONS ARE BEST TO USE TO SHIELD USERS FROM HAVING TO BE ASKED TO RESTART THERE COMPUTERS.

Right now we are in discussion regarding this topic with Avast since before christmas we got info from a bunch of customers that clients have been restarted related to Avast... Because of this I have set the policies to: "Restart after loggoff" (or something like that translated in english). Not sure if this works finally since we also in clarification if a shutdown will suffice compared to a restart. It seems that there are some situations where shutdown is not sufficient because of the fast startupmode of Windows...

Hi guys,

We have been working on reducing the volume of restart requests in recent months and have had success. We have also recently introduced new revamped restart options within the policies which will allow you greater control over automated restarts.

Support confirmed, that there is a known issue with planed reboots. It occures not every time but it happens.
Bug will be created for this....
