Avast Bank mode does not run after last update

Avast bank mode no longer opens and runs after the last update. This is on all 3 of my windows PC's. I have tried removing an installing Avast but this did nothing.

This has been an issue mentioned quite a few times on the forum in the past week. As per one of the members from Avast team, the issue is being fixed.

Hi,
like Spencer2, as well (still by now), it still does not work on all of my computers.
Browser version is: Version 108.0.19667.125 (64-Bit)
There are no updates available so far - neighter for Avast Browser, nor for Avast One (Security).
What can/should I do? Or should I only wait until Avast will fix it with an update?

Hi,
we just released the fix for the Bank Mode issue and it's being distributed as an independent update.
To install the update, open your Antivirus, go Settings - General - Update, click on “Check for updates” button under the Antivirus version and restart your computer.

please try the update button few times during the day - it might take a while until the fix is fully distributed around the world.

Original ASB with banking mode not working as of 7 December 2022 has the following ID:
29 Nov 2022 18:56 (version 22.12.6044 - built 22.12.7758.764)

And now available update:
29 Nov 2022 18:56 (version 22.12.6044 - built 22.12.7758.768)
I don't notice any change in banking mode, it still opens a Google Chrome window instead of the ASB window.

It works for me when I try google chrome as my default browser, bank mode opens avast secure browser.
You must restart the computer.

I am still at version 22.12.6044 - built 22.12.7758.765, no signs of any available update despite being located just across the valley from Avast HQ.
The Bank Mode starts starting, its bar on the W10Pro taskbar appears for a second, then disappears and that's it.
No bank mode, no bank, no christmas....

I did a manual program update about 8 hours ago (I don't use the bank mode anyway) and this is the build number I have - avast! free 22.12.6044 (build 22.12.7758.768).

What antivirus program are you using  ?
If it is AVG then I would guess that would be correct, assuming the AVG browser is the same as the Avast Secure Browser (different branding, but essentially the same).
Not that this forum is related to the Avast product range.

Very strange.

Whilst I don't use Bank Mode, if I click the Avast UI > Protection > Bank Mode - as I haven't got the Avast Secure Browser it offers it.  See attached image.

How did you get/install AVG Browser (as my Avast installation doesn't offer it)  ?
