Good morning,

Following the procedure given by AVAST to renew my licence before the expiration date, I bought this renewal on line. I received an email from Nexway with a link for downloading the product but no new activation code.

5 days after, I got the error message "your AVAST licence has expired" when I start my computer.

I tried different method to solve the issue :
1-typing the activation code that I received in 2021 when I initially bought the product
2-reinstalling the product with the link given by Nexway

It still does not work and my AVAST account mentions that I did not renew my licence. But I paid 69,99 for it (for the period starting form 2023/01/28 to 2024/01/27.

Please, can you help me ?

Many thanks in advance
Philippe

try contacting support https://support.avast.com/en-gb/index#pc
my link is set to uk so change at top right if you are in different country.

mine is due in 2 weeks but i certainly wont be paying full price.
last year i had similar but left it until the last day and they dropped the price to £20 from as far as i can remember £59.99

Thanks a lot MrDJ : I have just done what you explained. Now waiting for the answer. Also happy to see that I can still continue to use my PC (hoping that it is still protected by AVAST !).

I do a Search for the best price and select it provided the purchase is made from a reputable source.
I do my own auto-renewal.  :)

Hi Bob
when you say reputable source, would you class amazon in that catagory. i know ebay is full of hooky licence keys but on amazon ive found a 2 year 1 computer with box and disc for £20. in this day and age id rather pay 20 than 59 but not if its going to overide the software i already have loaded.

my worry is as i have premium for years and still have the password manager which has now gone from new installs if i used the licence key only would that just update the UI that i already have installed or overide it and maybe remove the password manager all together.

I haven't heard of anyone having a problem with a license purchased from the official Amazon website.

well, im blown away by support.
with 3 days til expire i unsubscribed my account and then chatted to support.
long story short £64.99 was my renewal for 1 pc for 1 year.
after showing the link to amazon with 2 years for £12.99 support activated that for me saving over £100.

sadly youve got to put up with me for another 2 years :D

That hack occurred in May of 2014.
