Windows 11 Backup
« on: January 29, 2023, 09:49:45 PM »
Windows 11 sucks.  Windows 11 backup is unacceptable to me.  I am looking for a system backup that is reliable, automatic, complete, and easy to use.  Anyone got recommendations?

On Windows 11, I've found that random files disappear.  OneDrive is not a backup -- backup should be an archive, and files should not disappear -- one should be able to recover a missing file from an archive, but once a file is deleted from OneDrive, it is deleted everywhere.

I've also discovered that Outlook isn't really backed up.  Sure, one can export Outlook data, but that is not automatic or intuitive, and I've found out the hard way that backing up Outlook data does not backup your Calendar or your Contacts.

Is there any decent backup solutions available for Windows 11?  Thanks in advance.

I use it to create a weekly backup. It worked in windows 7 and still works in the latest version of Windows 11
