Android App False Positive
« on: February 01, 2023, 11:55:09 PM »
Hi. My app HabitNow - Daily Routine Planner (Android) with 500K active users is being flagged as a trojan by your app or databases.
I'm 100% sure that this is a false positive since I'm the only person that has access to the app code. No third party libraries are being used except for the ones provided by Google.

My users are being forced to delete the app, losing data from years.
Please take actions as fast as possible, since this is affecting my app reputation very negatively.

App link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.habitnow&hl=en&gl=US

I've already submitted a false positive report and no changes yet.

You should normally get a response in a day or two.

Though I don't know if this would be the same for an Android app rather than a web site or executable file.

Thank you. I hope I get a response soon since angry users are already appearing. And I don't blame them.

You're welcome.

Though as an Avast User the decision rests with the Virus Labs Team.
Just to confirm, this is the location you reported it - Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.

I will wait patiently. Thanks!
