Hi, I have a question regarding avast versions:
One of my Windows 10 - 64-bit computers shows: Release date Jan 31, 2023 version 23.1.6049 build 23.1.7883.762.
My other computer running Windows 10 - 32 bit shows: Release date Feb 17, 2023 version 23.1.6049 build 23.1.7883.774.
Is it correct to have these differences in release date and build code for the same version of Avast?

Yes this is normal, though many people only have one system so won't notice this.
The build numbers in your post are different, build 23.1.7883.762 vs build 23.1.7883.774. So yes they would have different release dates.

Program updates are on a rolling cycle as hundreds of millions of users can't get it all at the same time.  You can do a manual program update and that should bring them both into line.

Hello,

My Avast program is not updating ;

I am trying to update Avast Premium Security and when I check I see that there is new program update from 17/Feb/2023 but it is not updating automaticaly. I downloaded avast_premium_security_setup_online.exe from my account and installed it and restarted my PC and then checked update again but Avast still says there is update from 17/Feb/2023

How can I update Avast program?

I have never had any major issues with Avast free.  But this January 31 update has caused problems with my Brother scanner.  Specifically, it's ability to scan and OCR a PDF document.  Using the Brother ControlCenter4 app I can scan a doc and save it to normal PDF (without the OCR layer).  But if I tell ControlCenter4 to OCR and save to PDF the app locks up.  I have to kill the ControlCenter4 app in task manager.  I don't see any log in Avast or Windows Event Log indicating what's happening.  I make an image backup of my system every night.  I have rolled back to the image the day before I updated Avast.  I'm sitting on the Avast December version and my scanner problems are gone.  So I will just stay on this December version for the time being.  Any idea if this is a known problem and/or being addressed?  I can probably do some debug logging later today and send it to Avast support if that would help.  Thanks.

I finally got around to updating and my problem has been solved.  This is the version I am running and my Brother scanner printer problem is solved.  Thanks.

I have a problem with the antivirus, specifically when I start the computer, natyvirus opens and the ball keeps spinning as if the program could not be started.
