I was playing a game (Going medieval) when it freeze/hang. After a few seconds I got the usual windows messages about an application hanging. I select to quit/kill the apllication and got the usual message about windows generating a report.
Then I take a look in the windows event viewer. and the entry before (a few seconds) the "Application Hang" was a "SecurityCenter" telling in french:
"L'état Avast Antivirus a été mis à jour vers SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON" that I translate in "The state of Avast Antivirus has changed to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON".
Then I opened the Avast program update menu and see written in that a new version is available : Fbruary 17, 2023 (ver 231.6049 - version 231.7883.774).
It looks like a new behavior (the second time I see it) since in the past, Avast notified me when an update was available. It annoying if it crashes games.
Windows 10 pro 22H2 build 19045.2673 with Avast Antivirus free up to date.
