Users are reporting that the latest release of Avast is blocking Chocolatey CLI from installing or upgrading packages. Disabling Avast doesn't make any difference, but uninstalling does. This also happens with AVG, which I mention because you acquired that company and the appearance of the interface is almost identical, so I'm assuming the technology is too.
Avast is not reporting any issues, but simply hangs when Chocolatey CLI attempts to install a package by running PowerShell scripts.
