SMB:Brute Force through File and Sharing
« on: March 13, 2023, 10:57:07 PM »
I am at my place of work right now and this is the first time in all my time working here that I am getting this message (see first image). I checked in the Remote Access shield app in Avast Premium Security, and it is the same few IP addresses over and over again(see second image). The popup says it's from File and Printer sharing, but I have already turned that option off on my computer's control panel. What do I do?

additional tidbit: I work at a Community center and the Wi-Fi I use is the guest one.

Zugzwane,

Did you also turn off "Network Discovery"? Can you post the screen copy of the File and Printer sharing settings?
