windows 10
« on: March 25, 2023, 04:03:56 AM »
Hi All,

I hope someone will be able to help me.  I am using Avast 23.2.6053 (build 23.2.7961.779) and I use Virgin Webmail.

However, I am unable to attach anything to my emails or able to download anything using Google Chrome.

Has anyone came across any of these problems before as I can't work out why this is happening.

Thank you for all your help it is very much appreciated

How do you know this is caused by Avast? Try disabling Avast for 10 minutes and see if you can send attachments then.

Any suggestions as I have never came across this before and I dont know who to go to till get advice on how to find out whats preventing this

I have done various virus and malware scans and they show nothing.  Also Windows 10 is new

Are you on Avast free or paid version?

Have you tried another Browser e.g. Firefox that is not based on Chromium?

Also disable all Extensions/Addons in Chrome and then see if it works. You can then add extensions one-by-one to see effect.
