What is this?
« on: May 17, 2023, 03:02:50 PM »
This randomly pops up even when i'm not using my laptop. It happens every once in a while, but quite frequently. Anybody know what it is and how to fix it?

If you select the See Details option when you get the alert you should see the process responsible for the connection.

Presumably you have no affiliation with the site in question  ?

Nope, none at all. I've never even seen that site in my life until now.

I've tried running smart scans and nothing seems wrong, and it says that it's located in google, but not a specific folder.

When it happens again use the See Details option (and post a screenshot again) as without more detailed information it isn't possible to advise a course of action.

In the same way you attached your first screenshot.

Many won't visit unknown 3rd party sites.

It isn't located in google Chrome as such - e.g. not a component - probably in the browser cache or cookies.

Try clearing the browser cache and cookies (including 3rd party cookies), restart Chrome and monitor.

It could be an add-on that you have added or updated, but lets see the the above works.
