Too much False Alerts On Avast
« on: July 08, 2023, 09:58:12 AM »
As an annual paid subscriber, I think it's about time I canceled my membership with Avast due to the countless false alerts and warnings.
Your Bank info is being exposed, your IP is being tracked, your password is being exposed, your information is being exposed etc, I'm just done with this antivirus acting like it's not good enough on its own to stop what its warning me about.

Every single website I look at Avast comes up with a pop-up "Your IP is being exposed".
First of all, I don't do online banking, I do not use my real IP, and I have other Malware programs that work just fine. Bitdefender never gave me such warnings, Avast has way too many false alerts

That is because they want to sell you a ton of extra stuff  $$$$$

Avast is the best (worst) annoyware money can buy.

See https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/Antivirus-popup-notifications#pc

Personally I feel these options should be disabled in the paid versions of Avast.

As an Avast Free user I don't have many options that I can uncheck.  Though I have a high pain in the backside threshold and ignore these, as most I have already taken care of and other I don't care about (or I would already dealt with them).
