New beta version 23.9.6082

Hi everyone,

there is a new beta version ready - 23.9.6082 (build 23.9.8494).

What was fixed

• some internal fixes and final tuning before public release

Known issues
Please note that as we were unable to resolve all the below listed issues in this release, we will continue with them for the next one.

• not respected default browser setting if Avast Secure Browser installed for Bank Mode (Avast Secure Browser is opened no matter the system default settings)
• incomplete paths for some of the applications added to Do not disturb component (problems with their execution from Antivirus directly, not showing full path in the settings, etc.)
• Windows Security icon and process not started properly
• Do not disturb mode can't handle notifications from MS Teams/Skype
• Webcam Shield does not work once added as a component without performing computer restart (valid for icarus type of setup only)
• some compatibility issuses with MS smart app control mode for Windows 11

Thanks for the new beta

The issue I encountered is still there unfortunately.

Hi Petr, with this version Mail Shield acting strange, receiving mail fails while AvastSvc.exe eating 1 core of CPU forever.
Another attempt just increases CPU consumes, mails never received.

I made a support package but automatic upload failed somehow, so I uploaded it to avast FTP.

Hi TheOwner, let me comment this from my perspective and based on my experience. The new version itself brings some new features and some bugfixes from the past. And simply, the value delivered by those vs the value decreased by the known problems is higher. It is always a trade off. And I personally do not belive there is a single company releasing software without known problems (even long time known problems shifting between versions). So simply the new version is better in general than the previous (no matter known problems with the new one), that's the point Have a nice day, Petr
