Possible scam message Win 10 Bank mode
« on: December 11, 2023, 06:18:15 AM »
While trolling through Facebook, possibly selecting a comment, Microsoft Defender advises PC is locked, ring 1800 841 813 ( Australia) It advises that my IP address has been used to access some site. The message on screen cannot be closed and the audio says do not turn off your PC or data will be lost. I returned to standard desktop and ran smart scan and Malwarebytes but zero problem. Returned to Bank Mode, message still running and selected Close. Reran scans, no problems. Opened Bank mode no problems. System is Win 10 Home fully uptodate. Should have tried to get a screenshot sorry. anyone else seen this ?
