Your browser is being managed by your organization.
« on: April 18, 2024, 11:01:00 AM »
Hello  , from this morning YouTube's restriction mode is ON and i can't turn it OFF. I went to the Firefox settings and at the top it says ''Your browser is being managed by your organization.'' ( Note : This is my personal PC ). Is this related with the Avast Antivirus? And if so , how can i get rid of it? Thank you.

I use YouTube regularly for two years on a daily basis and don't find this an issue, can you post a screenshot of the problem and or give more details.
Until you mentioned this "YouTube's restriction mode" I wasn't aware of it.

As far as the 'Your browser is being managed by your organization.' message, in order for the Web Shield to protect you, it has to integrate with Firefox.  I don't believe this should trigger the YouTube's restriction mode.

Quote from: extract
Restricted Mode is an optional setting that you can use on YouTube. This feature can help screen out potentially mature content that you or others using your devices may prefer not to view. Computers in libraries, universities, and other public institutions may have Restricted Mode turned on by a network administrator.

Is this on a PC or Android device ?

This is a Windows 11 issue; restrictions also apply to installing extensions.
because install is not allowed in restricted access mode (administrator mode).
