I have avast in both my desktop and laptop computers. The desktop will tell my by voice that virus datas has been updated. Why does it not do that on the laptop?? They are both configured exactly the same way for the avast program. ???

Hi shari41

Have a look at Avast Sound setting. Right click Avast tray Icon/Program Settings/Sound/press Setting. This will take you to Windows Sound and Audio Device Properties. Look at your Sound settings
