Auto Update Slow
« on: January 21, 2008, 04:30:20 AM »
I use Avast free on my old 450 pent 2 with 256 ram and on another machine on virtual pcs to test software. It seems with limited resourced that auto update takes a very long to complete especially in initial install on virtual pcs. It seems to bring things to a crawl when loading startup programs. Anybody else notice this?

Auto update is slower, because, if I'm not wrong it was made not to interrupt user with high resource usage during this process, so, it's slower (because running in low priority) but it's almost unnoticeable when it is on the run.
