I have had no problems with avast for a good 5 years. All of a sudden on a routine daily scan i have this Malware warning that i can't seem to get rid of. Its labeled MAcOSAgent Im using Windows but this is a hell of a virus that won't go away. I've updated virus definitions i've run Boot time Scans and restarted my pc about 40 times. Does anyone else know of this MacOSAgent malware? :'(

A screenshot of the Avast Alert window with the Details option selected might help.

- Attaching Images to your post - When you Click the Reply button it opens a text window for you to post your comment (reply or post).
Click the Preview button, that shows what you have input and expands it to include 'Attachments and other options'. Click that it further expands, here you can attach images, etc. at the bottom of your post.
See my attached image, click to expand.

You say "this is one hell of a virus that won't go away" are there any symptoms of a virus (I suspect not) ?

- With a resident (on-access) scanner the need for on-demand scans is much depreciated. For the most part dormant/inert files are being scanned, the other active files are going to be scanned by the resident shields when they are activated.

So if you had said virus and it was active  - then the File System Shield should have alerted.

[img][img][img]Hey Thanks for the Reply I didn't think to post a screen shot but this is it.. I'm not experiencing any symptoms atm but i don't know if it could be Keylogger or something else. i do a significant amount of crypto trading on my PC so i am concerned. I have since deleted my wallets from the PC until i know this is either fixed or a false Positive

Upload the file NtUser.dat.LOG1 to www.virustotal.com and scan it

Post link to scan result here

It is strange seeing this in a Windows system and could be a suspect false positive.

A google search for C:\Users\infin\NtUser.dat.LOG1 - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=C%253A%5CUsers%5Cinfin%5CNtUser.dat.LOG1 - returns many hits:

Some may be useful some not:
Does this location exist as many are on ntuser.dat in C:\ProgramData folder and that is different to your on-demand scans reported location.

Looks like you had a bit of a stutter with your posted image(s)

As I said in my first post: "

This may be a tough ask if it is in the Avast Quarantine location.
