Installation on a Terminal Server
« on: July 12, 2007, 09:16:36 PM »
I am installing the server edition of avast onto a Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server, and I seem to remember that I need to run a utility after the install.  The utility disables the animation of the tray icon and configures the program to scan in a mode compatible with terminal services.  Where can I find that utility?

Thanks.

You can run the avast Server Deployment Wizard (from the avast group in the Start menu), but it is not really crucial.

Thanks

Thank you for the help.  I did run the wizard (C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\aswSdWiz.exe) and it does seem to make a fairly significant change to the amount of CPU and memory resources used by Avast on a terminal server with 35-50 users on it.

Again, thanks for the help.
