Hi, I'm new here so if I use wrong protocols, I apologise.  I'll learn!
avast! is picking up the subject Trojans in a clone copy of my HDD (on a Freecom 500GB USB hard drive) in copies of hyberfile.sys and pagefile.sys files.  However it never finds them on my main HDD.  Spyware doctor finds nothing at all.  The first puzzle is where are they hiding on the main HDD?  The next oddity is that Chkdsk keeps finding errors on the HDD like Freespace marked as allocated in the MFT and ditto in the Volume Bitmap.  And, "Windows found problems with the file system"  If I schedule a chkdsk/f for boot-time, I can see that no problem is found (it runs straight through without finding/correcting any errors).  Even rebooting without running chkdsk/f the problem dissappears for a while.  But it returns !  Starting in safe mode, seems to be OK (at least for several hours).

Has anybody met this before ........... and can anyone tell me what to do?
