Can't send mail
« on: February 16, 2008, 06:37:28 PM »
I have set up 2 accounts on Outlook - and can receive email on both, but cannot send on either.  I have disabled the windows firewall, and still have the difficulty.  This is the notification I receive:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:   test
      Sent:   2/14/2008 1:25 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

      'emaderios@yahoo.com' on 2/14/2008 1:25 PM
550 relaying mail to yahoo.com is not allowed

btw - yahoo.com is not exclusive.  it doesn't matter what domain I try to send to, all are stopped with the same error code.  When I spoke with the IT guy at my company, he thought perhaps it was the firewall, so I turned that off - and tried again, getting the result you see above.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP   :(

Check your SMTP settings in the Avast program settings (right click Avast icon in system tray to get to program settings).
Processor: i3 2.53 GHz 4 GIG RAM, OS: WIN 7, Connection: High Speed, Virus/Malware Protection: Avast-2015, SpywareBlaster, Windows Firewall & Defender. Email: Outlook 2010 w/ POP Peeper Email Notifiers.
