The title says everything.
I had a huge disable of Firefox extensions on Vista... tried MozBackup restore, try to restore all the folder, try System Restore... I can't even install the extensions again.

Most of the errors are variable not defined and:

Code: [Select]
Erro: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsISafeOutputStream.finish]"  nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)"  location: "JS frame :: file:/// ... /Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js :: closeSafeFileOutputStream :: line 568"  data: no]
Arquivo-fonte: file:/// ... /Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js
Linha: 568

Disabling ThreatFire, everything works, extensions install and uninstall, update, etc.

Hi Tech,

A possible solution:
Resetting the following setting in "about:config" :
browser.download.dir
browser.download.lastDir

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Really? Do you think it was related to download directory? It's there, it was always there. It wasn't set to the default but to a folder I have since I've started to use this computer. I never changed it. ???
