Using Windows XP SP2 with the new beta.

Only issue so far ... right click on any file and select the menu option for an avast ashquick scan produces the attached popup  which must be acknowledged before the report window which looks rather different from my current production avast version.

Changing the default skin seems to to have no effect on the popup.

  I though the avast will came out avast 5.0 vision  but is 4.8. so when will avast 5.0 vision out?

I use Win XP with SP3 RC and avast 4.8 beta seems to work fine

Others seem to have a few minor problems but avast! 4.8 is working fine for me. I have tested the problems others are having on my computer and they work for me.

I have the same little nasty problem.
Anytime i will do a quick scan this window pops up and after quitting it the scan runs without problems.
Nice, now we have a percentual display of the scanning progress in quick time scan and also even in boot time scan!
But its a beta, so far i know, alwil will be improve this in a short time

Alanrf & Trevion, good catch, this is a simple-to-fix error (ashQuick.exe doesn't contain the ActiveSkin component licensing info in this build). Of course, this will be fixed in the next beta refresh.

RejZor, I'd like to find out more about the problem (the self-defense related thing). What other low-level software do you have installed on your system? Do you have SP1 on your Vista? Any other less-standard tweaks? Etc... we'd definitely like to have the problem simulated on one of our test machines...

The lack scan progress indicator in the skinless UI will be fixed momentarily, too.
