Hey guys!

Heres the problem...Each time I turn on my other computer it gets an error message and in the task bar/ thing where the icons are....
Has windows security alerts ranting it's head off about Avast! being disabled so I'm like oh not again....But after the error it shows it then says "Windows needs to shut down" then it says "Windows is now logging off..." People are telling me i'm infected because of the disabled Avast! Antivirus I just want to make sure i'm NOT infected....Because I NEVER downloaded recently or anything I use the internet alot but i'm cautious about what I download...

Lisandro:
You seem to be infected with Bagle, that destroys avast antivirus.
You can try to install the avast beta version to avoid this destruction.

I also suggest:

1. Disable System Restore and reenable it after step 3.
2. Clean your temporary files.
3. Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on.
4. Use SUPERantispyware and/or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
5. Test your machine with anti-rootkit applications. I suggest Trend Micro RootkitBuster.
6. Make a HijackThis log to post here or, better, submit the RunScanner log to to on-line analysis.
7. Immunize your system with SpywareBlaster or Windows Advanced Care.
8. Check if you have insecure applications with Secunia Software Inspector.

Is the beta free?

Good, and is Bagle classified as a worm or trojan?
