Hi, I'm newbies here.... and I have the same question could anyone out can help us through?

Do I need to enable VRDB all the time? Or is it one time task only?

Thank you.

adiel & stalkie, welcome.

When you open up avast's Simple User Interface, there should be some dates. One of the lines is "Virus recovery database (VRDB)   mm/dd/yy". Do either of you have a date listed there? If so, then VRDB has already run & it wont run again for three weeks. Also, have a look at this thread or this one. They both talk about VRDB & how to change the VRDB  run schedule from 3 weeks to 1 week.
