What is your favorite rootkit scanner?
« on: March 21, 2008, 08:09:25 PM »
Hi malware fighters,

The latest thing every av vendor has a special rootkit scanner. I use several.
Once there was the blacklight, now there is ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/fsbl.exe
What is your favorite?

Avast rootkit is looking promising, but i also like Icesword.

I like both because they seem to keep False positives to a minimun and also friendly GUI's.

Hi lee19,

Yes, IceSword is a good pick. But always run several, like MacAfee's, F-secure's, GMer,
