lexplorer.exe
« on: April 20, 2008, 02:56:57 AM »
:'( Yes I used the "Search option", and found what I wanted to find.(W32.HLL.SODABOT) (lexplore.exe). Which AVG,Avast,SpyBot, never detected on my System.

Windows ME.
Avast 4.8 (latest update)
SuperAntiSpyware
SpywareBlaster (no updates since 4/6/8 ???????)
CCleaner
Scotty
Tiny Firewall (old version)

Most of the time when I go to do a shutdown or restart I will get (lexplore.exe) not responding. then maybe TBSOD, or maybe I can do a cntl, alt, del, and reboot.

My question is, (see attachment), do i have to install Symantec's Software to get rid of it ?? Thanks (And search is the way to go)

Is your Topic Title a typo as iexplorer.exe is likely to be malware as the correct file name is iexplore.exe ?

It isn't the small i that I was concerned with, but the extra r at the end of the file name, iexplorer.exe that is my concern the legit file name is iexplore.exe and lives in  "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
