avast on Ubuntu 7.10
« on: April 15, 2008, 09:37:51 AM »
I have just downloaded Avast4 workstation for linux to Ubuntu 7.10

I have an icon in the main menu which open the gui interface

What I don't have is the blue ball in the panel to indicate avast is scanning

Is this only in the Windows version

Is Linux version strictly a on demand scanner

Thanks for the help

The blue ball is a Windows thing.

In Linux, avast! is only an on-demand scanner, as far as I can see. AVG too.

It certainly is only an on demand scanner.
