Avast and Threat Fire
« on: April 27, 2008, 09:18:19 PM »
I just reinstalled Avast Home 4.8 and now I'm getting the false positive with Threat Fire again. It says that the file TFMISC.DLL is a trojen sample and shuts Threat Fire down.  I'm using Avast 4.8 Home Edition, Build Apr 2008, 4.8.1169. VPS file 4/27/08, 080427-1.

They are usually very quick, in the meantime exclude the file, Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add.

Just downloaded the latest definition file from Avast and removed the ThreatFire .dll from the exclusion list and all seems to be OK. The file number is 080428-0.
