that's because the rootkit was found in one of my AV files not avast, but it is F-Secure
avast is not compatible with F-Secure and both will conflict.
Uninstall F-Secure completely, boot and then I suggest an installation from the scratch:

1. Uninstall avast from Control Panel first.
2. Boot.
3. Download the latest version of Avast Uninstall and use it for complete uninstallation.
4. Boot.
5. Install again the latest avast! version.
6. Boot.
7. Check and post the results.

ok, i will call and cancel my subscription woth F-secure, and do what ur post says, but what do u think is better, i payed for f-secure, but this avast is free, and i REALLY REALLLY like both of them, (f-secure has an application control) but AVast is finding the spyware, viruses ...etc... much faster than F-secure i dont know which 2 chose, but if u cn help me choose that will be AwSOME

It's not easy to decide... I've used Norton, McAfee and AVG, and testes Antivir and BitDefender... I can't suggest anything different from avast. Even the Home version, you won't regret ;)

Indeed, avast support is better than Avira one.

Well... it's not that hard. You can keep your F-Secure subscription and get a time to think about just before it ends ;)

true avast support MAY AND COULD BE WAY better than Avira, but hey, know what?
i have two laptops
ill try avira on one
and ill KEEP avast! on one
many people told me avast is better than F-secure, so F-secure bye bye, ill install avira on this computer and ill keep avast on the other one(its already installed)
1 question
read the 2nd answer on the site i gave u...
any of those compatible with Avast, if so ill add em on the other comp!!!

You have to look at the two AVs features and the fact that avira doesn't scan your email, nor I believe any P2P applications, etc. So you have to compare te two sets of features, providers and if something that is important to you isn't there, then you know which way to turn.

The other aspect you have to consider is that of support and the response as you have effectively mentioned ;D

As for your list of compatibility with avast, they all are. With the exception of also having another resident scanner (avira, etc.) installed.
