Avast 7.0.1456 and Outlook Express
« on: July 06, 2012, 02:52:20 AM »
After updating Avast, Outlook Express is a mess. I'll start typing a message it becomes blank. The start menu gets blank. Messages disappear.

This happened on both my laptop and desktop.

How do I go back to an earlier version?

This is a real mess.

Thanks!

I posted this on the other thread.

I've used Avast free version for a while but I'm ready to get rid of it if I cna't fix the problem soon.

Avast 7.0.1451 messed up my laptop computer. Windows XP SP3. Outlook Express 6. I'll try to type an email, the text disappears. Inbox messages disappear. The Start Menu is filled with blank spaces. Blank windows popup.

It's taken a week to realize it's NOT a virus or malware causing this problem.

Downloaded Avast 7.0.1456 the other day on my desktop so I could get my email but OE was messed up there, too.  I am so upset, I can't see straight.

Both computers are showing ads even though I have Ad Block and Simple Adblock  Happens on Firefox 13 and IE 8. I have and MVP Hosts but the ads are still showing.

What should I do???? How do I download an older version of Avast?

Thanks for your help.
