Why is there no result dialog box after Avast completes its scanning?

I am using Avast 4.7 home version. I noticed that after Avast completes scanning, it does not display some form of scan result dialog box to indicate whether any virus was found. Is this a default? Is there a way to get some form of result prompt? Thanks.

If you are speaking of the explorer extension (meaning the scanning you start from the item in explorer), I guess you can enable the showing of results from the main window of AVAST, settings - common - show results of explorer extension.
