How do I get rid of Win32:Pakes-AKM

That's ok...I repaired avast but there is still no icon in the tray.  The only issue I have with it not being there is I don't know how to turn Avast off in case I need to do other scans like before.  I probably won't be doing it often but just in case I need to turn the antivirus off.   

Thanks so much for getting my computer cleaned up!!  Now I just have to back everything up on an external drive...I was worried that the virus' would transfer to the external drive too so I haven't done that yet.

In windows explorer, navigate to

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4

in the right hand panel locate ashdisp.exe

right click the file and select send to, chose  Desktop(create shortcut)

This will place a shortcut on your desktop, you will have to click it each time you start your computer to display the icon.

You can also add it, the shortcut, to your startup folder. It will then start with windows. Just move the shortcut to

C:\Documents and Settings\ your user \Start Menu\Startup
