strange sentence

hi i really feel strange about this sentence " avast now has virus cleaner" what this sentence mean?
i think in the past avast didn't have virus cleaner, is that true?

avast had always the protection AND the cleaning features.
What can happen is that some infections can't be 'cleaned'... you need to delete (or better move to Chest) all the infected files.
