Can you post your email account configurations (use 'commom' words and not your real ones for user name and password)?

Do you run Mail Protection Wizard?
Can you send emails if you disable the scaning of them (do not scan Outbound Mail)?

not sure what you mean by common names. these errors just keep appearing. yes i did use mail wizard and choose each setting avaible. i am using outlook express 6 and i did follow the tutorial avaible on this forum.

just remove mail and replace it with my user name and you have the settings
ie mail.isp name (same in and outgoing mail)
   user name@isp name
i do not need a secure connection to receive and send mail. never tried to send mail as i like everything to work before i send out mail (no errors)

Maybe I have to explain better. Your configuration must be:

SMTP server: 127.0.0.1
POP server: 127.0.0.1
account login: user name#isp name
Note: # and not @

smtp authentication on
user id: #smtp_address
password: blank or yours
Check to remember the password

Note: user id without user name

And into avast4.ini file at section [MailScanner]:

DefaultSmtpServer=127.0.0.1:25
DefaultPopServer=127.0.0.1:110
SmtpListen=127.0.0.1:25
PopListen=127.0.0.1:110
ImapListen=127.0.0.1:143

Could you check your configuration?

Error 10106 = The requested service provider could not be loaded or initialized.
Don't you have some tcp/ip configuration problem, or a conflict between the mail scanner and a firewall ?
