could Avast be interferring with live webstreaming??
« on: May 24, 2008, 08:12:44 PM »
I'm trying to track down what could be causing problems with viewing live webstreaming.
I've been trying to watch the Florida Healing revival webstreaming from ustream.tv.
I'm thinking avast settings are causing it to keep scanning during webstreaming, causing it from having a good 'flow'; it stops, then goes really fast. Any suggestion if Avast is causing this problem??

Streaming over an http connection can cause some issues as I don't think that all that it does falls strictly in-line with the HTTP protocol.

You can exclude the IP for the stream.

Web Shield, Customize, Basic tab, insert the IP address inthe Ignored addresses: field.
