Its either on the box or the cd case normally, if your computer came with it pre-installed it normally is on some kind of documentation.  Any more information you can give will help us narrow down the problem

Inside DVD box or if it was preinstalled, look for sticker (that genuine holographic sticker) somewhere on computer.

I thought the XP SP3 update didn't require the product key, I'm sure MS was making a big deal about it not needing a key.

XP SP3 does NOT require a registration key if you have a legit Windows installation.

If your previous key is invalid (I guess there is a registration key check as an undocumented part of the SP3 update, sneaky), then the only thing is to contact MS and see how you can get a valid key.

Assuming you have a legit copy and just the key is found as invalid, it isn't long ago that windows update flagged a number of legit keys as invalid, caused a bit of a stink in the media. Again the only way to resolve it is to contact MS.

It's not the best idea, but only you will decide.

Someone has pointed out that this migh well have something to do with your problem.

O20 - Winlogon Notify: Antiwpa - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\antiwpa.dll

The antiwpa.dll is a crack to avoid windows product activation, so it looks like your copy of windows isn't legit and you should take this up with wherever you got it from. So it looks like the crack has been cracked and that is why the product activation alerts are appearing.

See http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/antiwpa.dll-21379.html and http://dll-repair-tools.com/dll-files/cracking-the-window%E2%80%99s-copy-protection-by-antiwpadll
Some also report that the crack might well come with an unwelcome gift, http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/614049-norton-reports-hacktool-virus-antiwpa.html or simply be being reported as a hacktool because it is a product activation crack.
