BOOTA error means that at that time you tried to scan the floopy (A:\) and the boot sector could not be localizes (the diskette is not in the drive, the floopy is not formatted...). Try to clean the event logger, put a floppy in the drive and scan... Probably the error won't appear again.

Well I did not try scanning anything on my floppy drive. I did however create a floppy drive with some Intel drivers on it for setting up a RAID array. I bet the resident scanner tried scanning the floppy during this time maybe?

Maybe...
You could asked for scanning 'My Computer' and then floppy will be included.  ;)

Ok, I found out what causes these error messages. Its when I format a floppy. I just formatted a floppy to load the latest bios file for my mobo, and then went right in to event viewer. There were the error messages again. Why does this happen?

Just a guess: in the Standard Shield settings, did you block the 'format' operation on tab 'Blocker'?

Nope, nothing is checked under blocked operations.

Tipton, sorry I'm empty... I cannot figure out what is happening...
For me, BOOTA was always related to floppies:

Well my error messages only occur when I am using my floppy drive. Weather I am formatting a floppy, or using for other things. Doesn't happen when I use my ghost boot floppy though to make and restore images.
