"Avast On-Access Scanner Message"
« on: June 10, 2008, 04:27:44 AM »
Whenever we change screens or sites the bottom of the computer screen fills up with "On-Access Scanner Messages".  They come up from the bottom as if it is showing what Avast is looking at, then they gradually disappear as though they are being "cleared" by Avast one at a time.  How do we stop this???

Apparently you've done some Tweaking of avast!
Take a look at the picture and make sure the highlighted function is unchecked.
(Which was the default setting)

The 'Show detailed info on performed actions' this option in the Standard Shield is also on the Web Shield and Internet Mail providers, so you should also check those to ensure your tweaking hasn't extended to those.

Both of the boxes shown in the picture are unchecked but the Messages don't stop.   Any other suggestions?

Post a few examples of what those messages show.

You may have also tweaked other avast shields, check the Web Shield, or the Internet Mail provider as I mentioned previously as they too have this setting.
