Error updating vps file (avast for linux)
« on: May 19, 2008, 09:55:27 PM »
Hello, i'm trying to use avast in a server with OpenSUSE, I installed the software but when I try to execute avastvpsupdate.sh I get this error : ERROR-4: Cannot download 400vps.md5 from http://download515.avast.com/files/latest/.
The server is connected, I tried a ping and I get response from it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hallo, avastvpsupdate.sh is a script, thus you can use the "set -x" to get a huge log what's happening inside.

Recently, some distros changed the version of wget that dislikes the former -r switch - just remove it
(or use our latest build where's this flaw fixed - available here:
