This may just be my personal opinion, but i'd wait at least a week until you see how it works for people, I do this with most "new" things and it's paid off many times for me. Keep in mind, if you leave your auto updater turned on, it will prob install itself for you. Good luck with it, and let us know how it works for you.  ;)

I will wait a little this time... I want that, at least, some of the extensions get compatibility with Firefox 3. I don't want to lose all of them...

Once I know it will work with all the current security Add-on, I'll consider upgrading.
Till then, I'll stick with the older version.

I downloaded this morning at 6 am Madrid Hour after a 20 minute search though Mozilla and Firefox pages (i could not find a link to download firefox 3 anywhere) but it was the beta version (i think). I learned  a few minutes ago that the launching hour is 10 am San Francisco, so 19h Madrid. Yet a 2 minute to wait.I did not install for the reasons most of you say, and downloaded only to help Mozilla to set the worldrecord (i think they deserve it, though there is lack of information in this kind of game).
But i failed, it was too soon (i did´nt think of the time difference).
I will redownload to help for the record, but not install, wait a little bit as you.

I downloaded to help them with the world record and to see what the new Mac theme looked like.

I downloaded one as well, took me 10 seconds  ;D

I didn't realize they were shooting for a record, but I do use FF 90% of the time. I started using it a couple months before 2.0 came out. As I said earlier though, I wont install it right away.

Well it too me a little under 30 minutes, the power of dial-up, I can remember when it took ages ;D

I have relented and just installed it, which went fine apart from a whole bunch of add-ons that aren't compatible (none of my critical ones though).

I had intended to wait on other guinea pigs jumping in first and see if they could break it and let the add-on writers get their updates done to be compatible with 3.0. Well I'm here now so we will see how it goes.

No problem in downloading and it sure is a lot faster than the previous official full version. :)
